Condition: Very Good

Description: 1947 third printing of 1944 original. Pale blue textured cloth boards with yellow titling and tennis raquet motif. Name on flyleaf, no other markings and text clean and tight, with just a few freckles on the fore-edge. DJ fits snugly, age darkened with generla cornerwear and minor loss. mottling and spotting which is more noticable on the white of the spine and rear panel. Price-clipped. Front panel displays reasonably. The artwork overhangs the front fore-edge as this is a thin wartime printing made as small as possible, and there appear to be variations in size of the early printings, we know that Blyton was adept at maxxing out on what the publishers could do within the wartime restrictions. Size: 12mo
