Front hinge of volume 1 is shaken, binding remains sound. Bumping to corners. Wells conceived of these as, respectively, "a survey of history, of the science of life, and of existing conditions." He intended the completed trilogy as an unprecedented "picture of all mankind to-day" in all its manifold activities". He hoped the volumes would contribute to establishing a progressive world government that he had been promoting since the mid-1920s. Not available for priority/expedited shipping. Due to the size/weight of this set extra charges may apply for international shipping. Ships from Dinkytown in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
