Description: Very good first edition book in very good custom-made box. With 28 illustrations; 5 (including frontispiece) are full page with tissue. Blue cloth covered beveled-edge boards. Front panel has dark blue narrow triple-ruled edging: a center band of dark blue with raised floral and gilt illustrations, and a black background panel in the center with silver gilt lettering and illustrations surrounded by a gilt edge and gilt and silver illustrations; spine is similarly decorated. Extremities are sunned. Several stains and smudges on front and back panels. All edges are gilt. Crimping and scuffs along edges at head and tail of board spine; fore-edge corner tips are barely rubbed through. Colorful end papers with subtle date and gift notations of previous owner. Previous owner inscription on blank page after FFEP; this page is almost completely separated. Solid slip-case is custom-made by The Rose Bindery. Green cloth with letter on spine.
