An octavo of 9 by 6 1/2 inches with light rubbing and minor losses to the color label on the front board, rubbing and wear to the cloth at the heel of the spine and with page 243/244 torn completely through, but professionally repaired with archival tape on its verso side. The front hinge has started and has been reinforced and the rear hinge has been repaired with book tape. The "This Book belongs to" page has been filled in with pencil by a young prior owner with a date of "January 1, 1922". Without its issued dust jacket. 312 pages of text. Illustrated with a color frontispiece and with 11 color plates and numerous black and white vignettes by John R. Neill.
