Description: Red cloth boards with pictorial pastedown rubbed on points, title lettering on spine quite faint and barely visible, a few stains to rear panel. Name written on front decorated endpaper. Dampstain along page edges only has caused red dye to bleed in varying degrees on only some pages, fairly unobtrusive. Missing page 37/38. Free from former owner markings, etc. Inner-hinge/gutter cracked/split opposite half-title and final page, contents a bit shaken as a result. Some minor marginal thumbing and markings internally. Overall a 'Very Good' copy.

Description: 1st Edition, 1st impression. 12.5 x 20.5cm original red cloth boards, front board lettered in gilt and blue with colour pictorial onlay and blue lettering to the spine. This is the first impression, having '[All Rights Reserved]' at the foot of the title page. The boards are in near fine condition with a little pushing to the spine ends and a faint 1cm rubbing ogf the colour from the top 1cm of the upper joint. Internally, the pages are very clean with only sporadic light finger marks. A really lovely copy.
