The book features black & white Illustrations, and illustrated end papers in color by Clifford Geary. Condition: Clean covers and spine. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. The paper at the hinge between the front end paper and pastedown has split halfway down from the top edge. Nice interior - the pages are clean and appear unread with only a name written in pen on the front end paper. A bit of erased pencil writing is visible at the top-right corner of the front end paper. Overall the book is in Very Good condition.

The only flaw keeping this from grading nearly fine is a small vintage rocket ship sticker on the DJ spine. Book is tight and pages lay tight; seemingly undisturbed. Green cloth shows rubbing along edges and at corner tips. Light soiling to green cloth. Small faint inadvertan pen mark on cloth on rear. A neatly written gift inscription from 1952 on the FFEP. A solid copy in a bright DJ.
