Di Prima, Diane.. Revolutionary Letters Etc. Second Edition, Enlarged.. City Lights Books, San Francisco, 1971.

Price: US$150.00 + shipping

Description: Second Printing, with the addition of Letters #44-49. Cook [#27 of the Pocket Poets Series] is confusing and in error. The City Lights edition was preceded by a fugitive mimeo edition [New York, Communications Company, 1968]. Cook says the first printing of the second edition was in October 1971, but the second printing also includes this date, though the copyright page changes after the first printing, dropping the Villiers [London] printing statement. Cook also states this second printing included additional letters #44-48, but it also includes #49. The second printing is perfect bound (whereas the first was sewn signatures) and was printed by Edwards Brothers. The second printing was December 1971, though the copyright page states October 1971, as in the first printing. 88pp. with 13 titles listed on last page (instead of 11). This second printing is often misidentified as the first printing, and is no less uncommon than the first. This, a Very Fine copy in black, white and red wrappers, spotless and unworn. Q19477
