Description: Two volume set. Rebacked in 1980 with new paper-covered spines and printed labels, retaining the original paper-covered boards which are moderately soiled and worn. Illustrated with a folding plate which is a facsimile of Franklin's handwriting. Minor foxing scattered lightly throughout the text. A very small spot of staining to the top edge of several pages, and one page with a repaired chip, not affecting the text. Previous owner's bookplate neatly on the inside front covers.
