Ex-library, Riwaka Library (a small 19th century provincial New Zealand library, Riwaka is situated 5km from Motueka, in the upper part of New Zealand's South Island.) Rebound in 19th Century half-leather library binding. A 1 3/4" split at tail end of front joint. A 1" split at head of front joint. Leather spine rubbed and worn. Boards rubbed. Hinges broken. Free endpapers torn out. Lacking the half-title page, one text leaf, and the publisher's advertisments. Pencil number on front endpaper. Library rubber stamp on title page. Black ink cross mark on rear endpaper. Moderate foxing to frontispiece and title page.
