Bound by Tho. Atkinson of Kendal, with bookseller label on rear endpaper. Fore-edge painting with six English frigates seeking "refuge from John Paul Jones off Flamborough Head." Childe Harold's Pilgrimage is poem in four-parts by Lord Byron. It was first published between 1812-1818 by John Murray of London.

Marbled endpapers.Armorial bookplate of Reginald Hugh on the front pastedown of each volume and with his 1886 ownership inscription on the half-title of Vol. I. The green has faded to the inevitable brown on the spines of each volume, otherwise a fine set.
