This volume contains no poetry, but two plays "The Good-Natur'd Man" and "She Stoops to Conquer: Or, The Mistakes of a Night." Contemporary full calf boards. Spine with gilt decoration and green and red lettering pieces. Page dimensions: 180 x 110mm.

Description: Top edges of spines are chipped. Corners of boards are bumped and rubbed. Leather on vol. 1 cover is cracked between front board and spine, but front board is still attached. Both vols have book plate on front end leaf and ink inscription on title page. A few pages throughout have mild to moderate foxing. Full leather. 19 cm, 120, 271 pages. Tree leather with elaborate gilt stamping on the spine. First collected edition of Oliver Goldsmith printed by H. Goldney for Rivington, Carnan and Newbery in St. Paul's church-yard, Lowndes and Kearsley in Fleet-Street and Cadell and Evans in the Strand.
