Description: Contemporary gilt-ruled brown calf, gilt-stamped lettering in black leather spine labels in second and fourth compartments (5 raised bands), other compartments ornately gilt-stamped, all edges marbled; volumes 1-5 (of 6), 16mo (135x84mm); pp. x, [2], 299; xii, 327; xiv, [2], 271; xvi, 292; viii, 307. Boards a bit scuffed here and there, mostly along joints and edges; spines somewhat sunned, and lightly scuffed at tips. Internally nice and clean. A lovely little set.

Although Wordsworth is best known for helping to launch the Romantic age through his co-authored collection, Lyrical Ballads, this set also contains his later works, such including 'Excursion'. The Poet Laureate also reflects on childhood, religion, Scotland, and a broad range of miscellany across the set. Bookplate to the front paste down of all volumes with the crest and motto of the Huggins family. In a full calf binding with a decorative spine. Externally, rather lovely. With a small tear in the calf to the front board of volume I, which has been repaired. Lightly rubbed to the spine, with a small mark to the spine label of volume I. The head of the spine is a little rubbed to volumes I and II, with a small closed tear in the calf. Internally, firmly bound, with bright and clean pages throughout. Very Good Indeed
