Description: This 8.125 x 11.5 inch, 33 page hardcover book is the first edition of this title as published by Biobooks in 1948. This copy is in fine condition with just a touch of wear on the bottom corners as a quality issue to mention. This title was printed and bound by the Grabhorn Press and the marbled paper cover over boards and the red cloth spine covering with paper label are in beautiful condition. The interior text pages are also in fine condition with only the usual offsetting from the several facsimiles included in the book as condition issues to mention. The Grabhorn Press was in its hey-day at this point and the high quality of their work, and the imminent reputation and accomplishment of Carl Wheat, make this title important and valuable. 450 copies were printed in 1948 with decorative woodcuts by Mallette Dean to further highlight this book. 33 pages.
