Description: Early edition hard back binding in publisher's original maroon paper covered boards, silver title and author lettering to the spine and to the front cover, circular colour onlay to the front cover, pale rose designed end papers showing a pie and a patty-pan. Printed by Edmund Evans, The Racquet Court Press, London S.E. and the first of her works to be published in a large format, dated 1905 to the copyright page, but not to the title page. 8vo. 7'' x 5½''. Contains colour frontispiece., 52 page story with nine single-sided colour plates, monochrome text illustrations throughout. Very light spotting to a couple of leaves, one small thumb-nail chip to the bottom corner of page 29, neat repair to the foot of the spine and in Very Good sound condition, no dust wrapper.
