Description: Hardcover. Bound in black cloth with elaborate gold decorations - butterfly and sunflower on the front cover. Sunflower on the spine. Publishers Dodd, Mead & Company name on the base of the spine. Title at the top. Measures 6.5 x 10 inches. There is a little fraying at the crown of the spine. A couple small bubbles in the black cloth where glue was unevenly spread at original bindery. No date on title page. Copyright page says "This illustrated edition first published in 1925." Decorated endpapers. 250 pages. 12 nice quality plates by Henry Keen. Some normal toning to pages, from age. This is the first illustrated edition of Wilde's 1890 novella.
