Description: First edition. 62pp. Printed wrappers. A couple nicks at the edge of wraps, else near fine. Inscribed by Wallace Stegner on the title page: "For Ruth Nuzum, Wallace Stegner." Stegner won the Pulitzer Prize in 1972 and the U.S. National Book Award in 1977. Contains Stegner's essay, "Bernard De Voto's America". De Voto was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for History in 1948 and the National Book Award for Nonfiction in 1953. A description and a checklist of De Voto's works with a tribute by Stegner on the occasion of an exhibition in the Albert M. Bender room of The Stanford University Libraries. One of 2,000 copies.
