Bright red boards with sharp gilt lettering. A sharp & bright front panel of the J Allen St John illustrated DJ has been pasted to the FFEP. The binding is tight. he pages are an unmarked creamy white. A very good or better copy.

Description: Meets the criteria for the FIRST EDITION listed in Zeuschner. 8vo. [6]1-298p. Red cloth with gilt letters on the front cover and the spine. Wear to extremities with the corners just rubbed through, top and bottom of spine starting to fray, gilt dulled, covers lightly soiled with some spotting, front hinge cracked but book still tight, else very good to near fine with no internal markings. No dust jacket. List of books opposite the title page has THE MAD KING as the last book. Copyright page shows the acorn design of the McClurg Company.

Description: Smaller Octavo. Bright red cloth covered boards and spine with red gilt lettering on both the spine and the front board. Book has light bumping at the head and tail of the spine and at the very tips of a couple of the outside corners. Lettering on the spine is not a shiny as it once was, but is still easy to read; lettering on front board still shiny. Cream colored endpapers. Very light ding in the outside edge of the front board. Binding has a very slight forward lean, but is tight. Light cream colored pages are all clean and crisp. 298 pages. No dust jacket. Tight and clean. Burrough's second book is an adventure tale set in 13th Century England, first serialized in New Story Magazine from January to May 1914.

Description: This book has been bound in a medium red cloth with faded gilt lettering on the front board and spine. There is rubbing and the cloth has darkened over the years, minor spotting on boards. There is corner bumping and edge wear, board just beginning to show. Small tear on head of spine near the back board. On the list of books by author across from the title page, someone has inked "The Outlaw of Torn" and "The Girl From Hollywood" in very small lettering at the bottom of the list. Text has yellowed with age but appears clean and is solid in it's binding. No sign of foxing. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" Tall
