Description: n.d. [1913]. Large 4to. [8], 359 pp. With 21 colour plates with captioned guards. In the publisher's burgundy cloth, ink-stamped to spine and front board. Housed in a matching custom-made, felt-lined, gilt-titled chemise and leather-entry slipcase. Frank Reynolds was well known for his illustrations in many of Dickens works and was recognised as one of the leading illustrators of his day. He continued to illustrate in black and white and colour throughout his life and also became the Art Editor for Punch. A fine copy of the first trade edition, housed sumptuously.
