All uniformly bound in smooth dull pale green linen cloth stamped in gilt with leafy decorations to spines, top edges gilt, fore- and bottom edges untrimmed, first volume with frontis photogravure engraving of Austen. Vols I-II: Sense and Sensibility, 276pp/286pp. Vols III-IV: Pride and Prejudice, 292pp/297pp. Vols V-VI: Mansfield Park, 347pp/355pp. Vols VII-VIII: Emma, 356pp/358pp. Vol IX: Northanger Abbey, 348pp. Vol X: Persuasion, 373pp. All volumes with very faint uniform fading to spines, and slight ofsetting to first and last leaf of textblock. Gilt is bright and clear. Does not include Lady Susan and The Watsons (later included in 1906); or the unfinished Sanditon, added subsequently to collected editions of Austen's works.
