Description: Octavo. Brown cloth covered boards and spine with forest green lettering on both the spine and the front board. Book has a moderate amount of bumping at the head and tail of the spine and a very light bump at the tip of the lower front outside corner. Book almost hits a VG+ grade, but the spine has a slight inward curve. Light cream colored endpapers. Binding is straight and tight, and hinges completely intact. Light cream colored pages are all clean and crisp. 304 pages. Dust Jacket is a facsimile jacket. that is still clean, bright, and sharp. Very nice overall appearance. There is some rubbing to the lower part of the fore edge of the front board. A neat PO stamp ("Property of G H Robson" in script) on the half-title page and the last page.The binding is tight and the interior is clean except for an occasional small soil spot in the margins. A very good example of a very hard to find book.

Small initials written in vintage ink (light) on corner-tip of title page. Tan cloth with green titles. Binding and hinges are sound. Endpapers show light age-toning. FFEP shows a previous owner's name with a line drawn through it; and a new name and address written below it. Tan cloth panels show light soiling. Shelf-rubbing limited to foot and crown of backstrip. Edge-tip of cloth at crown is tender. Old, minor faint soiling to page edges. An original vintage Grosset & Dunlap DJ has been married to this copy as the DJ artwork on the front of the Grosset DJ matches the artwork on the front of the A.C. McClurg DJ. DJ shows a small chip on the front at base, a couple of scuffs with vintage tape reinforcement and discoloration. Good+ in a Good+ married DJ.
