Collated complete.This work was written by Henry Seton Merriman and S. G. Tallentyre and features a collection of character sketches. The majority of these character notes were first published in 'Cornhill' magazine during 1893, 1894 and 1895.Advertisements to the rear. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally smart with fading to the spine, the odd slight mark to the boards with a small damp stain to the rear and bumping to the extremities resulting in the odd very small closed tear to the cloth to the head and tail of the spine. Hinges starting with a small closed tear to the front free endpaper. Internally firmly bound with lightly age toned and clean pages with only the odd very minor spot. Old ink inscription to the front blank. Very Good
