Description: ; Beige cloth cover is worn, particularly at corners and spine caps, sunned, and soiled and overall in good only condition. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is tight (spine reglued). Former owner's name address in pencil on front paste down (Alfred Fowler, presumably of the Woodcut Society). Pages are clean and pristine. Heavy toning, foxing, and some soiling to paste downs and front end sheets. Pages are toned with light scattered foxing but overall in very good condition.

Description: A handsome copy of the 1924 1st American trade edition, issued simultaneously with the British edition AND INCLUDING ITS UNCOMMON PRINTED DUSTJACKET. Tight and VG+ to Near Fine (light offsetting at the endsheets) in a crisp, VG to VG+ dustjacket, with chipping at the spine crown (resulting in a tiny bit of loss to the titling) and very light scuffing and streaking to the rear panel. Tall quarto, deckled fore and bottom-edges. From the title page: "A Study of the Problems of Decoration with Special Reference to the Work of This Artist by Herbert Furst, author of 'The Modern Woodcut', etc. Illustrated with Thirty-Three Reproductions in Colour and about One Hundred and Fifty in Monochrome."
