Front hinge very slightly cracked; else a fine, bright copy in a very attractive jacket with a few tiny chips and short tears, and some minor wrinkling to the upper portion of the front panel. This very uncommon book is rare in dust jacket. Author's first book.

Description: First edition. Original olive marbled paper covered boards, with printed paper labels on upper cover and spine, in the original dustwrapper, which is printed in green. A couple of millimetres of fraying to the top of the spine but a very good copy indeed in a near fine dustwrapper, which is clean and complete with just a little fraying and a couple of short closed tears to the spine, and some minor marks. Overall an extremely well preserved copy of a rare and fragile book. The author's very rare first book, printed in an edition of about 500 copies, of which it is estimated barely 100 now exist. A collection of verse in a pastoral cycle, of which Phil Stone prophetically said in his preface, "these are primarily the poems of youth and a simple heart. It is seldom that much can be truthfully said for a first book beyond that it shows promise. And I think these poems show promise."
