The book was first published in January 1920 and this was apparently from the second printing, also in January 1920, and carries the designation B-U near the lower edge of the copyright page. 383 pages, frontis plus three other b/w plates by Frank Teeney Johnson. Condition is VG+ with green hard covers, illustrated top front, also small decoration on spine, black front and spine titles, light wear/bumps to corners, faint wear to spine extremities, small ink name near top FFEP, text block otherwise excellent and tight within the boards.

Description: First printing, in January of 1920 with code "A-U." $1.90 prince on dust jacket over spine just below circular cut-out. Covers are generally clean, though show light rubbing along edges. There is a small portion of cloth that is discolored showing through circular cut-out of jacket. Inked and penciled names, addresses, and price on blank front end leaves. Top hinge (internal) is a little loose and shows a small tear at foot. Volume remains fairly tight and contents are generally clean. Circular cut-out in jacket shows small tears along edges. There ae also a several small closed and open tears along edges, with one over crown that barely touches on the upper edges of "The" in title. Other text and image remain good. Dust jacket is now in a clear Brodart protective sleeve.
