Description: Five volumes. Brown buckram over beveled boards with spine labels, large 4to., xxix, 431; 442; 454; 482; 410 pages, illustrated by T. L. Poulton. Translated by James Amyot and Thomas North. Number 60 of 1,550 copies printed from Fournier types on Arches paper by Bishop and Garrett and William Brendon and Sons; the illustrations were lithographed at the Curwen Press. A near fine, very well preserved set, clean, fresh and unmarked but for the usual toning of the endpapers and a miniscule booksellers ticket at the rear pastedown. The spine labels show only two small chips on two volumes, the spare labels remain tipped to the rear pastedowns. The bindings are clean and remarkably free of all but the most minor soiling or wear.
