Volume One: Brown half leather boards with gilt lettering to spine. (7.5in x 4.5in) Marbled front board is detached from spine. Both boards are rubbed. Corners are bumped. Wear to edges. Spine has bumping to top and bottom, shelfwear. Spine has 4 raised bands. Decorative endpages. Textblock is in good condition, clean and tight. 253 pp. + adverts. Volume Two: Brown leather boards with gilt lettering to front and spine. Boards are marked and generally grubby (6.5in x 4in). Corners are bumped. Spine is coming away from front board at ends. Original red full squeezed calf, backs in five compartments, gilt lettered in the second and fourth, gilt center and corner ornaments fill the first and fifth, the third with blind ornament and center gilt dot. Sides with blind roll tooled border enclosed by single roll tooled fillets with gilt circle corners and a blind roll tooled panel with blind corner ornaments, all edges gilt, gilt roll tooled inner dentelles.
