Description: Hardcover, set of two volumes, complete. Green pebble cloth over boards with gold lettering on spine. Boards are a bit worse for wear, with some rubbing and patches of fading or discoloration. Corners bumped, with cloth frayed at bottom corners. Similar wear at head and foot of spine. Title page dated 1881. 347, 346 pages followed by ads. Volume I is cracked at the front hinge, with the third sewing cord split. Textblock remains tight and in place. Ex-libris plates neatly affixed inside each front cover. Trollope was one of the most prolific writers of his time -- this biography would have been published after his most successful novels were behind him -- owing in part to his 15-minute writing routine.
