Number 44 of 850 printed. Previous readers note about reading the book, apparently in Manchester-By-the-Sea (Massachusetts) in 192. The house he mentions: Elsinaes, was bulit in 1899. "Elsinaes was redesigned and built for Elsie Forbes Perkins Hooper, one of the first of the seasonal summer people to become a full-time resident." (the house had many secret doors) (Holt, Manchester by the Sea, p. 96).
