Description: Octavo, boards. Signed by Leonard on the title page above his printed name "Elmore Dutch Leonard" and below his name he has printed the last line from the book. This is Leonard's second published novel. Filmed in 1990 as Border Shootout. Some rubbing at board corners, a very good copy in a good dust jacket with chips at the upper corners and upper left spine fold, 1 cm x 3 cm piece missing from lower left spine panel, spine panel background color faded from original light green to pale blue and some mild rubbing. Condition: Very Good

Description: A presentable example of one of Leonard's scarcest titles. This is an ex-Military Library copy with few markings. NO card pocket, though it has some tape ghosts to the rear end papers where one must have been years ago. 4 smallish ink stamps to the end papers and further one on a front blank preliminary page. Jacket protecter tape ghosts to the front and rear endpapers. Mild tape residue to the covers as well as a bit of asphalt marking from an old style jacket protector. Otherwise the Book is pretty clean tight and square. Not read a lot, I'd guess. The jacket is the good news. Protected by the aforementioned jacket protector it is clean and bright. The spine is mildly faded (quite mild). There is a long straight tear to the jacket at the juncture of the rear panel and the spine panel, but it closes up nicely and is barely visible under mylar. A TINY chip has detached from the spine, but is present. Both jacket flaws are easily remedied by rice paper. Overall, pretty clean and bright. Scarce! ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall
