MAUGHAM W. Somerset. The Land of the blessed Virgin, Sketches and Impressions in Andulusia. , 1905.

Price: US$614.04 + shipping

Description: First edition. 8vo. Original blue paper-covered boards with white cloth spine. London, William Heinemann. This copy is in the third of the three bindings employed - with a flat spine of white cloth rather than a rounded spine of white parchment; the lettering on the spine is small (with the word ?blessed? measuring just under one inch across), which is the same size as on the (parchment) second binding state. This copy is in very good condition, with (atypically) very little soil on the white spine; there is also minor edgewear on the delicate paper-covered boards. The front endpaper is inscribed to A.W. Lissauer by the author. The front pastedown bears Lissauer's small leather bookplate. In a stout, functional leatherbound case.
