He was an American diplomat and political presidential advisor. House had no military experience but was often called Colonel House. This title was bestowed on him by Texas Governor James S. Hogg. In 1912, after helping Wilson obtain the Democratic nomination for president, House was offered any cabinet position except that of Secretary of State. President Wilson had already promised that position William Jennings Bryan. Their relationship was so close that Wilson brought the Colonel to live in the White House during his tenure. House got along really well with Ellen, Wilson's first wife. COMPETITIVE PRICING!
