Description: First edition, first published issue (second issue overall) with the dedication leaf a cancel and dedication corrected to read "Borys". In first issue binding with sky colored gilt on the decorated front cover. A particularly scarce Conrad work, his first and only foray into the realm of science fiction, co-authored with Ford Hueffer, who would become better known as Ford Maddox Ford. A tight copy witn the gilt sky bright with a small rubbed spot from which the gilt has not been lost. There is a smudge and small spot to the rear cover and the spine strip, while not rubbed, has considerable darkened spotting. Withal, quite an acceptable collectors copy of a very desirable title.
