Description: Four hardcover volumes. Brown cloth over boards with red cloth spine and gold lettering. Publication date on title page is 1884. Volume 1 is 445 pages. Binding is square and tight. Pages are rough cut. Edges of some pages are bent and folded. Pages are clean and bright, free of foreign markings. Corners and edges of boards are bumped and frayed. Wear mostly to the spine. Spine of each volume has insect damage that looks like fading. Lettering is only partially visible on each volume. Volume 1 also has some similar wear to the back cover edges. Volume 2 is 484 pages. Similar condition to volume 1, with slightly more of that insect damage to the front cover. Edges and corners bumped and frayed, spine worn. Pages within are clean and bright. Volume 3 is 512 pages. Front cover is mostly clean with insect damage mostly on the back cover edges and spine. Pages also clean and bright inside. Volume 4 is 508 pages. Damage mostly to the outside edges and the spine. Each volume contains a frontispiece illustration in very good condition. Since these are a set, they will need to be shipped in a box. Extra shipping will be required for international or priority shipping.
