Description: One of 6 copies numbered and signed by the author and designated as an 'author's presentation copy', with a holograph poem. 8vo. Quarter multicoloured cloth with affixed spine label and three-quarter pictorial paper-covered boards. 116pp. With epigraphs by Vincent van Gogh and Paul Blackburn: 'Dear Clay, Never look a gull in the eye, love Paul'. This copy seems to have the elements of the 26 lettered, handbound copies, with an original holograph poem, although the limitation here is not called for. (There were also 200 numbered and signed hardback copies.) This copy might have had an acetate dust jacket originally. Small split to the upper board at the lower corner, a little soiling including to the first free endpaper, otherwise a Very Good, slightly rubbed copy.
