Description: Very Good ; Good+ Slipcase. 1949 The Limited Editions Club. Limited Edition of 1500, hand numbered, signed by Illustrator Edmund Dulac on the limitation page. This is number 513. No date in book. Oversize hardcover has maroon cloth-covered boards with gold spine lettering and a brass cockerel affixed to the front cover. Color illustrations. The book is then enclosed in a second separate hardcover chemise with maroon paper-covered boards and repeating gold cockerel pattern. Book and chemise slide into maroon paper-covered slipcase. No dust jacket. The brass cockerel is tarnished, espcially around its edges. Includes bound-in page before title page with pre-printed name "Wray Manning". Book and secondary cover have only light wear from infrequently removing it from the slipcase. First half of the pages in the book have sparse light foxing, mostly in margins. Pages otherwise clean and unmarked. 42 pages. The slipcase itself has light fading on surfaces near edges some mild soiling. Top, bottom and back edges surfaces of slipcase are rubbed and worn but all intact with no tears. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
