Brautigan's first regularly published book, originally published by the White Rabbit Press in a tiny run of 200 copies (1958). Provenance: From the collection of Montana author, screenwriter, and outdoorsman William Hjortsberg (1941-2017), a central figure in the Montana Gang, and Brautigan's long-time friend and neighbor in Pine Creek. He spent two decades researching and writing Jubilee Hitchhiker: The Life and Times of Richard Brautigan, published in 2012 to great acclaim. Barber A7.
