Description: The first edition, published by Clark and Maynard in 1864. Bound in wraparound leather folding to completely encase the volume and with tongue and groove to hold the folding case closed. All edges gilt. Richly illustrated. As this edition was published to be carried as a pocket-guide to all significant aspects of Freemasonry, very few of them have survived. A scarce item to find intact. A very good copy in the folding leather, with some wear to the edges. Dampstain to the lower corner of the first few pages. Substantially illustrated.
