Tightly bound with notable thumb-marking throughout. Previous owner's inscription to front pastedown. Tape to gutter p.75. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing and notable marking to boards. Mild tanning to spine, which has mild crushing to ends. Small dent to rear board.

Pages have visible foxing and thumb-marking throughout. Heavy cracking to gutters and hinges. Missing front endpaper and final plate. Notable marking to pages. Pencil inscription to front endpaper. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing and notable marking to boards. Heavy tanning to board edges and spine, which has notable crushing and tearing to ends. Book has forward lean.

Bottom corner of pages has been damaged/nibbled, but this does not encroach on text. Fly leaves are a bit soiled but otherwise a Very Good copy. 11.5cm x 17cm

The title page states "The Field Office, Strand: then W ard & Locke. 5" x 7 1/2" hardcover is in Good condition. Rubs and fray s to the spine ends and along the spine edges. Bumps to the corners. T he frontis page is detached, but is included. The front hinge is crack ed at the front endpapers and the sewing is exposed, but the binding i s still tight. Writing on the front endpaper and a name is inked on th e front fly.Small blindstamp at the upper right corner of the front fl y.
