Printed by Brewer and Warren Inc., New York. Shelfwear to bottom edge, corners rubbed, spine soiled and fraying top and bottom, cloth loosening at spine. Pencil marks at rear endpaper, and two green ink marks at front endpaper. Wonderful creepy front cover illustration!

Barton was a doctor and scientist. For this book, he supplied the main plot and the scientific details. Light brown cloth with green art and text. 304 pp. The scarce dust wrapper has a burgundy background with art of a skeleton looking at a document. text in red, green and white. The book is VG with a bookstore stamp on the first front end paper and normal wear. The dust wrapper is VG and is not price clipped. The wrapper has wear, a sunned spine, and a small amount of white-out looking material at the bottom of the spine. Shelley and Son Books specializes in C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien & the Inklings.
