Slightly spotted to the edges, the upper board splashed at its lower corner, the lower board somewhat scratched and creased to the cloth, the boards moderately bumped to the corners and with a short, superficial split at the lower joint, the front pastedown scuffed presumably from a bookplate removal, the rear free endpaper with a neat 'B' or '13' in red pencil, and the prelims/outer leaves spotted, but probably presenting better than it sounds. This copy has been signed by the author and has the attractive bookplate of Lewis collector Andrew Murray.
