Tan cloth handling soiled and a little crayon scribble on cover (see photos). 42 pages 5 pages have sribble with crayon and pencil. (the pencil does erase I tried a small corner). 23 color illustrations by Tasha Tudor with text on facing page. Measures 4 x 4 3/4 inches. A very rare Tasha Tudor book.

Description: 32mo 4" - 5" tall; 42 pages; Variant binding HC in red paper boards with white polka-dot design and title lettered panel to front board in blue and white. The much less frequently seen paper boards 1st edition. Some light shelf rub to paper at tips and spine ends. Stress to the paper inside the exterior hinge of the front board with partial split to the paper but with no loss. We have added some minimal archival japanese kozo paper to trinforce the front hinge. Binding remains sound. Contents bright and neat with no marks. Charming Tudor title remains well preserved save for the tenderness and stress to the paper in the front hinge. G+

Description: Very Good hardcover in a Good dust jacket. First Edition, First Printing with no additional printings noted. Light wear to the spine ends, otherwise the exterior of the book is clean and bright. The text and color illustrations remain bright and vibrant. No markings from the former owner, but a portion of the original bookseller's sticker is affixed to the rear paste-down. The dust jacket is not price-clipped, but does show age darkening along the edges and spine. Overall an attractive copy.

Description: VG+ in decorated boards with some edgewear, tight and clean with some natural offsetting to endsheets. No prior owner markings or bookplates. In a vg dust jacket with typical age-darkening, very small (less than 1/4") chip at top of spine and shallow tiny chip at base of spine along with some minor paper loss at corner tips. Slight amount of creasing near top of jacket flap and a few tiny edgetears. Jacket price 75 cents and rear dj flap lists only two other Tudor titles.

Spine is gone, and the binding has been repaired with tape, and half of the pages are taped at the binding. Covers are worn a lot along the edges, corners are worn and frayed, and covers have some staining. Bookplate inside front cover has the names of two children.
