This is # 447 of the 900 sets printed on machine-made paper (there were 100 produced on hand-made paper). These volumes are 10 1/2" x 8" bound in 1/4 cloth (with paper spine labels) and board covers. There is some modest wear at the corners with the tips exposed; and there is some darkening along the gutters of both volumes (possibly from the binding glued?). Otherwise this is a nice solid and sound set. The editor Charles Stonehill has inscribed volume one on the title page (by crossing out his printed name) and writing: "For W. L. Lewis from Charles Stonehill."
