Some scattered foxing to the pages including title page and frontis. Offsetting to the pages, mostly on verso or opposite of the plates. Minor creases to the edges of a few pages. Otherwise, a very nice copy beautifully rebound. Binding is strong, square and contents are clean. Book comes protected in a brand new mylar cover. An uncommon edition of a classic on the spirit of fishing. Both a poetic and instruction manual on the sport.

Binding is firm. B/w plates. Several pencil notes by a past bookseller on rear free endpaper recto; no other such markings readily apparent upon a quick perusal. Moisture stain at frontis leaf's top margin; a few occurrences of light foxing and toning to interior pages. Still a handsome book.
