Bound by MacDonald, NY in quarter green (?) morocco now faded to tan with green cloth sides and marbled endpapers, t.e.g., the spines with gilt titles, the panels with central angling devices and floriate corners. Horne 205; Coigney 215. This copy without the Last Will and Testament facsimile mentionied in Coigney, nor is it included in the illustrations list. Two volume de-luxe limited edition on hand-made paper: # 44 of 150 copies signed by Strang and Cameron the illustrators. Edited by George A B Dewar. As stated: "The Text of this edition is an exact reprint in spelling and punctuation of the Fifth (1676) Edition; the last published in Walton’s lifetime.". Each quarto-sized volume in original dark brown polished vellum with gilt decoration to front boards and spines. Top edges gilt, other edges uncut. Green silk bookmarks: detached in volume two. Complete with all 30 etchings each in two states: one state on Japan paper. Spines of vellum are slightly faded to a lighter brown and there is some slight wear to edges where the paler vellum shows through. Very slight bowing to both volumes owing to thick quality of paper. Matching "ex libris R J Wright" bookplates to front paste-downs. A Very Good set of a sought-after edition.
