Foolscap 8vo (7 x 4.5 ins) 12 mono chrome plates and numerous engravings in the text, and two hand-coloured folding plates ('The Ladies Trying a Contemptible Scoundrel for a "Breach of Promise"', and 'Probable Effects of Over Female Emigration', both by Cruikshank. Bound in half calf over marbled boards, edges rubbed, spine lettered in gold. Top edge gold. Bookplate. Contents slightly shaken with a tear, no loss, to one page. Articles includes 'The Lord Mayor in Ireland'; 'Dreadful Case of Agricultural Disease'; 'Before and After Marriage'; The Lion Hunter's Museum'.
