Corners of covers are slightly bumped for Vol. 1 and 2, and bumped some for Vol. 3. Spines have 6 raised bands and page edges are gilt-covered. Vol. 2 has some very minor scratches to the gilt at bottom of side edges, and has slight wear of the gilt at the bottom corner. Vol. 3 has some wear of the gilt at the top and bottom corners. Silk moire endpapers and gold satin bookmark ribbons attached to headbands. Each volume has a color map after front endpapers. Vol. 1 has a gift inscription written at top of half title page.
