Description: 671 pp. This is a two volume set of The Canterbury Tales rendered into Modern English verse by Frank Ernest Hill. Both volumes are ivory cloth with brown paper and feature a coat of arms printed on each cover. Both volumes have browning on the outer spine. The first volume has a small brown spot on the cover. The pages in both volumes are clean and bright. The second volume is signed by the printer, George W. Jones. This set is number 718 out of a limited printing of 1,500 copies. The set comes in a fair to good slipcase with peeling paper and exposed cloth at the top and bottom edges. The first volume has a frontispiece that depicts a bust of Chaucer from the Guildhall Library. A lovely edition of Chaucer's classic tales. Size: 7 3/4" x 12 1/4"
