Description: First edition. Only 250 copies printed. His uncommon first book -- a selection of poetry published as number 7 in Blackwell's "Adventurers All" series of "young poets unknown to fame." Small 8vo cream paperwraps with lower and fore edges yapped (i.e., overhanging) and printed labels to front and spine; 51 pages plus one-page publisher's ads. Slight loss at base of spine, spine label a little rubbed affecting tips of few letters, covers lightly soiled and slightly edge worn. Still, about very good for this fragile production. Scarce volume of verse from the author of BRAVE NEW WORLD.

Description: Plain pale yellow wrappers with spine and paper label; small 8vo. 51 p. "Adventures All Series No. 7". The author's first book. Very nearly fine with a short split of covers (1 in.) at spine, overlapping front edges creased. Unread, the pages are mostly unopened (i.e. the edges have not been trimmed leaving the folds to be opened with a paper knife). Bright lovely copy (far better than usually found) of the first book by one of the seminal author's of the 20th Century. Quite uncommon.

Description: First edition. Original pale yellow wrappers with title label on upper cover. A fine copy, with just a touch of wear to the spine ends. Very bright and clean. Housed in a custom slipcase and chemise. Pictorial title page and frontispiece. The author's first book written in his last year at Oxford, and published in an edition of only 350. Huxley, primarily remembered for his novels and to a lesser extent his essays, began his writing career as a poet. While a student at Balliol College at Oxford, having been exempted from military service due to extremely poor eyesight, he was involved in several student poetry magazines. In September 1916 this first book of poetry was printed in Oxford. Number 7 in a series entitled "Adventurers All", a series of young poets "unknown to fame." Bromer: A1

Description: First edition of Aldous Huxley's first book. A presentation copy, signed by the author and inscribed to Elbridge Adams, dated 1929. Bound in publisher's original cream-colored wraps with title label to spine and upper cover. Very Good with soiling and edge wear, and a short split started at the bottom of the front spine fold. The words "Printed in Great Britain" penciled to title page, and pages lightly thumbed. Housed in a custom green cloth folding slipcase.
