Dust wrapper has some green coloration rubbed on its back panel. A Fine book in a Fine dust wrapper. Music by Leon C. Radsliff. Play directed by Robert England. Excerpt from the author's Foreword: "It has been my custom and pleasure to read Treasure Island about every five years or so. . [I]t struck me that this wondrous tale of derring-do might be material for a Grove Play. . I have taken liberties with the text (for dramatic reasons) for which I ask forgiveness of the shade of R. L. S. Actually, I have borrowed only the bare bones of his plot and the names he gave his chief characters." David Magee was a long-time San Francisco bookseller.
