Shelfwear: light scuffing along edges and covers, "WZ" written in black ink on inside front cover, tanned inside covers and endpapers, light tanning along page edges, tearing on rear endpaper where card catalog was supposedly removed. Volume is in Good-plus condition.

Unmarked but for neat rubber stamp of U.S. Navy on front pastedown (under front flap) and clean triangular piece clued neatly to verso of last page in book. Light grey textured boards with blue lettering and design is sharp and fresh. Textblock supple and clean. Price intact jacket has light creasing at bottom of front flap and a few nicks to edges. Overall, a fine example of his first book which set the stage for his long, illustrious career. In mylar. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall

Book has slight edgewear with a small amount of fraying at the the top spine end, and the two top corners are bumped. Book seller ink stamp on the front free endpaper, as well as a Property U.S. Army Library stamp on same page. Both front and back endpages are partially worn. The dust jacket is intact with the original price of $2.00 printed on the front flap. Sun fading, mostly concentrated on the spine, and light soiling, very minor edge wear, water stain at bottom of spine. Comes housed in a custom slipcase. We will provide a certificate of authenticity for this item.
